Labradors are a medium breed with males
typically weighing 65 to 80 lb (30 to
36 kg) and females 55 to 70 lb (25 to
32 kg) under
The Labrador Retriever Club Standard
which is adopted by The American Kennel
Club. Their coats are short and
smooth or bushy and they possess a straight,
powerful tail like that of an otter.
The majority of the characteristics
of this breed, with the exception of
colour, are the result of breeding to
produce a working retriever.
Most of our Labradors have pedigrees
that combine those from England, United
States, Canada and Australia.
The best of all countries combined to
produce an outstanding Labrador Retriever
unavailable from others.
The Labrador breed tends to shed hair
twice annually and Lab hair is fairly
short and straight which makes for easy
maintenance and clean up. The
otter-like tail, webbed toes and powerful
muscles of the Labrador Retriever make
them excellent swimmers. Their interwoven
coat is also relatively waterproof,
providing more assistance for swimming.
The tail acts as a rudder for changing
direction.

Prize My Eyes Zacky
Dear Kakie, it is with
great pleasure to write this
letter to you.
I have not
spoken to you since we purchased
Zacky just before we picked him
up at Tampa, Fl airport. I want
to tell you Zacky is a VERY
special dog...of all the dogs I
have had Zacky has been the most
complete dog I have owned. I
know every owner feels their dog
is the best but I know in my
heart Zacky is special, I have
spent enough time with him to
know that at times it feels like
he is a human being in a dog
coat. His qualities are to many
to mention but shortly he is the
best companion you can have,
best family and guard dog you
can have [did not know labs were
very good guard dogs] and also
is the best water dog! As I
write this letter he is barking
to me like he knows I am writing
to you. I hope his father and
mother are doing well and thank
you for breeding such high
quality animals. I also have to
thank the person who first told
me about you and your dogs, she
has 3 of them.
Thanks again, George Del Villar

Kakie,
I just wanted to show you a picture
of the best Labrador any person has
ever owned. I named him Kirk
(Captain James T. Kirk) actually,
and I got him from you in Florida
back in 1998. He was the last in a
litter of puppies, and I'm not sure
about the rest of them, but the
people who didn't take him missed
out on the finest lab I have ever
been around.

He was a true companion in every
sense of the word. The first time
I put him in a duck blind, he picked
up every duck we put in front of him
and placed them back in my hand
without having ever seen a duck. He
was a natural retriever, and made
dogs that a lot more money was spent
on look un-trained. Kirk was the
finest dog I have ever seen with
children as well. I feel fully
confident that he could have raised
a child on his own. It has been my
great privilege to have this dog in
my life.
Kirk was born on Feb 14th 1998, and
just recently passed. I cannot
thank you enough for this wonderful
gift of 12 years that I have
enjoyed. I am only sorry that
I could not have enjoyed him just a
little longer. What a dog.
One of the more interesting things
this dog did was that he was a full
blown diving dog. He could retrieve
things from the bottom of a swimming
pool, or a river, and would often be
seen disappearing under the water
after a crab, or some other aquatic
animal. I have never witnessed a
dog attack anything with more
enthusiasm than Kirk did his
"fishing" as we called it. He was
also a dedicated fishing partner,
and one time jumped in and caught a
speckled trout that was in the
process of jumping off my father's
line. The fish made his daring
escape only to be surprised as this
amazing dog leaped after it, and
caught it for a second time,
returning the fish to the shocked
fisherman.
Again, I could tell you a thousand
and one stories, but they would all
pale to the real dog. Thank you
again........

Wayne Fontenot's five
month old Lab puppy's first duck
hunting trip was fabulous! We
had snow and ice the weekend of 12/5
which south Louisiana doesn't see
much of. It didn't slow puppy
down at all from retrieving and
delivering twenty birds to hand.
Pup rode a four wheeler for the
first time, heard duck calls, close
gun shots, swam through duck decoys
to find the birds - a lot of firsts
for pups maiden time out!! I'm
very proud.
Professional breeding
speaks for itself.

A comment from an original Florida
client whose first best friend
passed on after a fantastic life of
thirteen years. They recently
purchased another black Labrador
puppy who flew to
their home that's now in Tennessee:
"We are enjoying Khan so much. He
has a fantastic personality,
happy and playful but he is also
very affectionate and loves to
cuddle. Tell your granddaughter
she did a great job leash
training him - he walks calmly
right beside us when we take him
out.
Thank you so much for
everything."

An update from a Miami, Florida
client:
"Just wanted to let you know we
arrived safe back to Pinecrest.
Puppy behaved great in the car, and
slept straight through the night in
his crate at the hotel. We love his
spirit and see that he adapts well
with everyone. Thanks again…..I’ll send you updates."

A Louisiana owner wrote:
"I bought a black lab pup in
July. The sire was Prize My Eyes Bosses
Blackout bred to Suire's Dakota
(out of Prize My Eyes breeding).
I just wanted to let you know
that my Prince is so awesome. He
has a wonderful temperament (he
thinks he's human) and is so
loving (he is a huge lap dog).
He is absolutely beautiful with
a perfect, shiny coat. He barely
even sheds. I would estimate
that he weighs about 50-55 lbs.
(at 5 months old) I will
send you a couple of pictures
soon."

From a Texas customer:
"The chocolate Labrador I
purchased from Prize My Eyes has
been the best investment I've
